Muriel Roberta Cottreau Wednesday December 23rd 2020

Cottreau, Muriel, Roberta- 82, of the Meadows Home for Special Care passed away peacefully with her loving husband by her side on December 23,2020. Born in Port Maitland, July 5,1938, she was the only daughter to the late Ernest and Lena (Perry) Atkinson. Muriel was an office secretary for E.K Spinney for 22 years. She was one of the best crafters in Yarmouth County. She took such great pride in all her work. Her and Leonard traveled many miles over the past 25 plus years to craft shows and fairs all over South West Nova Scotia and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. She had a great passion for flowers and doing yard work, mowing the lawn and sitting in her sun porch. She had a love for dogs and going to the Windless Restaurant for fish and chips. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Leonard and special niece, Ellen Cottreau. Due to COVID 19 the family has decided not to have a visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Interment to take place in the Darlings Lake Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the SPCA or charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the Meadows staff of Brook House, their loving care for Muriel was so comforting and exceptional during her stay there.
