Muriel McGimpsey Thursday June 11th 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Muriel on June 11, 2020.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Clifford; 5 children Gary (Patricia), Gail, Gwen, Gord (Patty) and Guy (Cathy); 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren (plus 2 more on the way!). She is also survived by her brothers Harry and Dave and sister June. Predeceased by grandson Joel, brothers Art, Jack and Stan, and sister Nona.
Muriel was born in Winnipeg on November 26, 1929 to Guy and Muriel Smith. Muriel worked at Richardson and Sons until getting married on November 25, 1950. They had 5 children within 10 years and her family became the centre of her life. She was well known for her cooking, baking, sewing and knitting. Her grandchildren have wonderful memories of playing games and doing crafts with grandma. Her great grandchildren brought her great joy.
We would like to thank Home Care for their kind care for Muriel at her home in Transcona, and staff at Meadowood Manor where she lived for the last 3 months.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date when restrictions are lifted.
Thanks, mom for all you have done for creating the best family anyone could have. It is because of you that we all know what is important in life.
