Mme Almerinda Teixeira
1932 – 2020
It is with deep sadness that we announce that our mother Almerinda Teixeira Fontes passed away on April 17,2020 at the age of 87. She was the beloved wife of the late Joao(John) Fontes, mourning her loss are her children Filomena (Tony), Jose, John (Mary), her grandchildren Diane, Brian-Christopher, Robert (Vicky), Alexander, Amanda and Mark. Her brother-in-law Francisco Fontes (Liliana), sister-in-law Patrocinio wife of the late Angelo Fontes. Many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in Canada, United States and Sao Miguel, Acores.
Almerinda was the daughter of Joao Ignacio Teixeira and Maria da Gloria Costa, youngest sister to Manuel, Joao, Antonio, Maria do Carmo, Jose, Marianna and Maria Jose all of whom have predeceased her.
She will be in our hearts forever, rest in peace Mom.
A private burial will take place Saturday April 22, 2020. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
