It was 12:40pm on the 4th day of September of 2020 when Miroslav Jozef Nagy at only 42 years young took his final voyage to his resting place on the Milky Way Galaxy where he intends to be remembered every time you look up into the night sky.
He was an amazing daddy, husband, son, brother, uncle, son in-law, brother in-law and friend.
Words seem so feeble in times like these but as we all know Miro, he would not want us to grieve for too long but rather he would want us all to remember the good times we shared with him.
He was someone who was always a pleasure to be around and never had any issue in offering his own (right) opinion. He would walk into a room and brighten it with his smile, his attitude or just his presence. His kindness, patience and inspiration is what made him unique.
We learned over the past 16 months just how strong Miro really was. Cancer challenged him to take on the greatest fight for his life and he did so by taking all the doctor’s advice and every medication just so he can cherish one more day with his family and friends.
He made friends so easily and was true to every one of them. He supported, raised, coached, guided and inspired his sons, his nieces, his nephew and many others along the way.
Our words can’t express how grateful we are to the wonderful staff at the Ian Anderson Hospice (Oakville). They helped everyone maneuver the rough road by being caring, compassionate and kind. They were there to keep Miro comfortable through the times when family was not able or allowed to be there. After 17 days at the hospice with his family by his side, Miroslav Jozef Nagy died with dignity and respect.
We are truly blessed to have had you in our lives and share so many memories with you. Life without you will never be the same so we bid you farewell and rest in peace until we meet again.
By Miro’s wishes there will be no formal funeral or celebration of life service. He wanted nothing more than for everyone to remember him in their own way.
Miro is survived by his wife Karen, his sons Eric and Ryan, the Nagy and Clark Family and many many extended family and friends.
