On April 16, 2020 at 82 years of age. Beloved Husband of the late Garifalia “Litsa” (June 4, 2019). Dearest father of Stelios and wife Sheila, Nancy Kramer and husband Mike. Cherished Pappou of Alexandra, Matthew, Gabrielle, Michael, Roman and James. Predeceased by his parents Stelios and Nafsica Spanos. Predceased by his siblings Mitso and Pari Spanos, Peter Spanos, Tom and Gizela Spanos, Litsa and Haralambos Polyzoti, Tasia and Taki Stefanides.
Dear brother-in-law of Angeliki Spanos, Angelo and Georgia Mouratidis, Erie and George Sofos, Nick and Christina Mouratidis and predeceased by Iordanis Mouratidis and Kostas Mouratidis. Mike will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mike immigrated to Canada in 1963. After meeting his wife Litsa, they began their family in Toronto and moved to Windsor in 1988. He was an accomplished chef who loved to cook for everyone and who loved to make people happy through his food. If you so desire, donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or Windsor & Es County Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Family services were held in accordance with his faith led by Father Evangelos Aravantanos of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church. Interment followed at Windsor Memorial Gardens. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
