Michelle David Laird was born November 5, 1972 in East York, Ontario. He spent the majority of his life in Alberta, and his life revolved around three things: his wife Shantel, his children Xander, Xavier, Xachery and Xayden – and his career as a Red Seal Chef (most recently for the Royal Alberta Museum).
Sadly, Michelle took his own life on May 17, 2020. He is loved deeply and will be forever missed by his wife – Shantel; sisters Melanie, Michelle and Karen; and the four X-men in his life who could always bring a smile to his face and a twinkle to his eye: Xander, Xavier, Xachery and Xayden.
Donations in lieu can be made to the Canadian Association for Suicide.
The family would like to thank the Edmonton Police Service, Barrhead and Westlock RCMP, Fire & Rescue and Ambulance. A special thank you to Constables Donovan, Tapp, Hyde and Seguin of the Barrhead and Westlock RCMP.
