Obituary of Michael David LeBlanc
LeBlanc, Michael David- It is with deep sadness that the family of Michael David LeBlanc of Stellarton announces his sudden passing on December 30, 2019.
Born in Amirault Hill, Yarmouth County on June 20, 1945 he was a son of the late Frank and Blanche(Levy)LeBlanc.
Mike worked for many years as a banker and later as a car salesman. Mike volunteered in the Boy Scout movement for many years, as well as being involved in the Cancer Relay for Life, having been a cancer survivor for over 20 years. He had many hobbies including hunting, fishing and playing cards especially with his wife and of course with many of their friends. He also did a lot of carpentry work, which he was very good at.
Michael is survived by his wife of 47 years Velma(Sears), a son Scott(Tonia), a step-son Evan. sisters: Patricia(Victor) and Donna Parnell, a niece and 3 nephews.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors from 1-2pm Saturday at the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where a memorial service will be held at 2pm with Rev. Karen Ross and Richard MacAdam presiding. Burial will take place in the Riverton Cemetery at a later date.
Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Michael may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of one’s choice.
