Michael Dillon Friday November 27th 2020

DILLON, Michael Joseph (Oct. 22, 1938 –Nov. 27, 2020)
It is with much sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Michael Joseph Dillon on Friday, November 27, 2020. Mike of Peterborough, formerly of Oshawa was 82 years of age. Predeceased by his wife Frances “Fran” (nee Terwillegar) in 1993 and his son Tim in 1990.
Loving Dad of Brent Dillon (Teresa), Kelly Knight (Darren).
Proud Poppy “Pop” of Erica (Jared), Evan (Ashlee), Lilla and Dillon. Proud great grandfather of his buddy Gavin.
Mike was the tenth of sixteen children born to Jane (Coe) and Edward (Ned) Dillon. Born and raised in Maynooth, Ontario at the young age of 15 he moved to Oshawa and lived with his eldest brother to study at Oshawa Business College. Mike started working at GM in 1956 and retired as a General Supervisor in 1990.
Over the years Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling at the cottage. He also liked to golf, attend dances, play cards, solve puzzles or sit back and watch sports. He was the happiest when with family.
Interment will be at Thornton Cemetery, Oshawa. As per Mike’s wishes no funeral will take place. A private family service will be held.
Any charitable contributions to Toronto Sick Kids Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
