It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Michael, 67 of Coquitlam, BC. He was the son of the late Hubert Leger and Genevieve (Leger) Browne (Born Marangoni) of Shediac, NB
Besides his mother, Michael will be sadly missed by his son, Seann of Vancouver BC, his daughter Doneal and her husband Rick Alward of Coquitlam BC, his precious grand children Roman, Willow and Autumn. Also left to mourn are his siblings Donald (Monique) Shediac NB, Denise Gautreau (Jean) Grand-Barachois NB, Janice Wombolt (Jim) Halifax NS, Joel (Bernice) St. Andre-LeBlanc NB, Virginia Soucy (Pierre) Shediac NB, Adele Leger Calgary AB and Anita Lahey (Iain MacGowan) Bridgewater NS.
Michael will also be missed by Genoa, mother of his children, a special grandson Dylan and best friend and chess mate Gerry Cooke.
Michael is predeceased by his father Hubert Leger (1987), his brothers Gerald (1964) and Robert (2017), his nephew Joshua Leger (2001), his brother-in-law Dave Lahey (2016) and stepfather Ron Browne (2004).
Michael had a caring heart and his first love was his family. He also had a life-long love for music, especially his drums which he played in several house bands in his early years and “jamming” with friends in later years
Cremation has taken place at Burquitlam Funeral Home in Coquitlam BC. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
