Melvin “Skip” Louis MacLean
MacLean, Melvin “Skip” Louis – Age 72, Central Onslow. We are deeply saddened to announce that on Sunday, October 4, 2020, Melvin “Skip” Louis MacLean, loving husband and father, passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side.
Skip was the son of the late Lewis and Gladys (Hollingsworth) MacLean. He was the devoted husband of almost 40 years to Debbie (Mingo), loving father to daughter, Angel (Adam) Patriquin; sons, Robert (Jacquelene) MacLean, Derek (Angie) Suttis and stepson, Paul (Penny) Suttis. He loved his grandchildren, Cavan, Madison, Keiran, Ariana, Alaina, Trevor, Christopher and Joshua as well as several great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Linda (Terry) Stevens and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his biological mother, Frances Mont.
He loved spending his retirement with his family and friends, fishing, riding his motorcycle, drinking beer and working on old cars. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends for his sarcasm, inappropriate jokes, witty comebacks, infinite knowledge and so much more.
A special thank you to the Palliative Care Team at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro who showed such great care and kindness as well as all the popsicles that he could eat. No visitation or service by his request. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro.
