COMEAU, Melvin – Age 63 of Maxwellton, passed away peacefully at his son’s home on Sunday, September 20, 2020. Born in Yarmouth, he was a son of the late Elie and Thérèse (Deveau) Comeau.
Melvin was owner and operator of D&M Trucking Ltd for many years. Although he was known as a workaholic, he enjoyed snowmobiling, 4-wheeling and lake boating with his wife and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Dianne; son, Daniel (fiancé, Caila Stark) and their newborn son, Wesley; daughter, Rachelle (Ryan) Robicheau and their children, Gerald, André and Noland; sisters, Elaine Bourque and Jean Melanson.
No visitation will be held by request. A public graveside service under the care of Meteghan Funeral Home will be held in Stella Maris Cemetery, Meteghan Centre, on Thursday, September 24, at 2 p.m. officiated by Père Albeni d’Entremont where burial will follow.
Donations in memory may be made to Baie Ste Marie Animal Society.
