MCINTOSH Donald November 9 2020

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. Ps 116:15
It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather Donald, who passed from this life at Benevolence Care Centre in Edmonton at the age of 95 years.
Donald was born October 31, 1925 in Apple Hill, Ontario, and entered heaven’s gates on November 9, 2020. He is finally reunited for eternity with Margaret, his treasured wife of 64 years, who preceded him on September 30, 2014.
He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his five children: Donald (Ruth) McIntosh, Sandy McIntosh (Cynthia Chatten), Heather (Gregory) Adams, Peter (Laurie) McIntosh, and Ruth (Grant) McIntyre. His grandchildren: Andrew (Susan) McIntosh, Isobel McIntosh (Matthew Plawiuk); Stuart (Jessica) McIntosh, Graham (Pam) McIntosh; Jeffrey (Terrilyn) Adams, Ryan (Rebecca) Adams, Alissa (Morgan) Stobbe, Mirriah Adams; Julie McIntosh, Zoe McIntosh; Alexander McIntyre, Liam McIntyre, and Abigail McIntyre. His great-grandchildren: Molly and Ivy McIntosh; Clara Plawiuk; Declan and Isaac Adams; and one daughter-in-love, Joyce McIntosh.
He was the third of five children and will be remembered lovingly by his sister, Esther Swailes of Montreal. Preceding him were his parents Daniel & Mabel McIntosh; in-laws Grace and Robert McCallum; brothers Stuart and Angus McIntosh, sister Agnes McIntosh and granddaughter Cynthia Scheidegger.
He was a kind and gentle soul with a loving and generous heart, who was always giving to others. Donald had an unwavering faith in God and was proud to be a member of Beulah Alliance Church for 70 years. He was active with the church and participated in many volunteering and supporting activities and events. Donald was a founding member of the Millwrights Union in Edmonton, building a long career as a journeyman millwright. He loved animals and was always working with his hands repairing and rebuilding cars.
Interment at Glory Hills Cemetery, Stony Plain, will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 14th, 2020.
A memorial service at Beulah Alliance Church, 178 St. & 98 Avenue in Edmonton, will follow at 1:30 p.m., with Pastor Allen Powles officiating.
