May Scott 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of May Scott, 95, formerly of Salmon Beach, announce her passing on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at the Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sus.
Born in New Mills, she was the daughter of the late John and Bertha Elizabeth (Doull) Pettigrew. She was a little woman with a huge personality. Known for her fantastic pie baking skills and working at Danny’s Inn for several years as a pastry chef. May also loved listening to live music and was always the life of the party. What she loved more than anything was spending time with her family and friends.
May will be sadly missed by her three daughters: Dorothy Knowles of Salmon Beach, Betty Lou Street (Bill) of Bathurst and Mary Ellen Clouston (Percy) of Sus. Daughter-in-law, Regena of Big River. Siblings Ellis (Bob) Pettigrew of Dalhousie and Nina Sanderson of Ontario. Also by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Donald Scott, sons: Ralph and George.
At the family’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service due to the current pandemic situation.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff of Kiwanis Nursing home and Sus Hospital for their care and compassion. Donations in memory of May can be made to a charity of your choice.
Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of May Scott 2020..
