May was born in Stavely, Alberta January 31, 1929 and the family soon moved to a farm in the Millarville area. She raised seven children in Black Diamond with her husband Eugene Sleno. In the 1970s, she moved to Calgary and worked at Woodward’s Restaurant. For many years, she was a nanny/grandma to the Arnt family. May was always an avid gardener and also enjoyed cooking, baking, curling and bowling. Her Friday evenings were often spent having dinner and dancing at the Kensington Legion with good friends. A passionate sports fan, she could regularly be found watching a Calgary Flames game or a curling bonspiel. May was loved by all and will be sadly missed. Her friends and family will be celebrating her life at a future date.
