1925-2020
May Cleghorn passed away at Lincourt Manor, St
Stephen, NB. on Sunday, January 12, 2020.
Born in St. David Ridge, NB., daughter of the
late William and Dorothy (Conrad) Essensa.
May is survived by her children: Charlotte
Murphy, Geraldine Leavitt (Brian), Joanne Cleghorn, Michael Cleghorn
(Bonnie) and Donna Cleghorn (Harry MacKenzie), grandchildren: Lynette
Murphy (Rudy Wijngaard) Kevin Murphy (Brenda), Vanessa Orr (Greg),
Kaitlynn Cleghorn Berriault, Jessica Bellis (Rob), Candice Cleghorn
(Justin Stewart), Donald Leavitt (Alicia McVay), Riley Cleghorn,
step-grandchildren: Jason Leavitt (Collinda) Patty Cleghorn (Clifford
Rideout), Peggy Cleghorn (James Smith), Kenny Cleghorn (Mary), many
great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. May is also
survived by her sister, Pearl Smith, two sisters-in-law: Shirley
Cleghorn and Shirley Essensa, several nieces, nephews and their
families and many friends.
In addition to her parents, May was predeceased
by her husband, Donald, infant son, James William Cleghorn, brothers:
Ervin, Louis and Sam Essensa, sisters: Grace Gregory and Pauline
Essensa, two sons-in-law: Wayne Murphy and Ralph Cleghorn,
step-grandchild, Corey Leavitt
Resting at The S. O. Mehan & Son Funeral
Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB from where the funeral
service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 2 PM. Visiting
hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 17, 2020
from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
For those who wish, donations to the Alzheimer
Society or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
