Obituary of Maxine Vivian Saunders
“Beauty starts in the heart of a woman who knows how truly special she is. It radiates from the smile she shares with the people in her life and it shines in the way she makes the world a lovelier place to be.” In loving memory of Maxine (Mickey) Saunders who passed away a month away from her 101st birthday at the Village Green in Selby, ON on Friday January 10th, 2020. Mickey was predeceased by her loving husband F. Raymond. She will be greatly missed by her children, Gail Wolfe (Wally) of St. Albert AB, Marvin Saunders (Judy) of Kingston ON, her twin sister Geraldine (Gerry) Goold of Huntsville ON and her daughter-in-law Paula Saunders (Ernie McNair) of Ottawa, ON. She will be fondly remembered by her seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Alice Berdan and Charles Kettlewell, as well as her son Dwight (1988) and sister-in-law Doreen Saunders (2008). Mickey was previously a resident of Kingsdale Chateau. Resting at James Reid Funeral Home (1900 John Counter Blvd.) on Tuesday January 14th from 1 to 1:50 p.m. Funeral Service to follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will follow at the Cataraqui Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to Partners in Mission Food Bank.
