Obituary for Maxine Ainsworth
On May 12, 2020 at Fiddick’s Nursing Home in Petrolia, Maxine Ainsworth (nee McGillivray) passed away at the age of 83. Beloved wife to Larry for 61 years. Loving mother to Geoff (Wendy) Ainsworth of Petrolia, Louise (Walter) Prevancher of London, Jim (Shelley) Ainsworth of Sarnia and Paul (Jessica) Ainsworth of Petrolia. Cherished grandma to Jennifer (Casey), Michelle, Melanie (Chris), Adam (Tanya) and their children Emalynn and Brielle, Colin, Brandon, Madison (Josh) and their son Grayson, and Joseph. Dear sister to Douglas (Caroline) McGillivary of Kingsville. Predeceased by her parents Angus and Edna McGillivray and her siblings Victor (the late Mary) Ross and Pauline (the late James) Allan. Maxine was a member of the Petrolia First Baptist Church since 1977 and will be remembered by her many friends there. The family would like to thank Dr. Butler and Fiddick’s Nursing Home for the caring compassionate care she received from nursing staff and PSWs. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Maxine’s life will take place at First Baptist Church at a time when it is once again safe to gather. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Sarnia Lambton.
