Obituary
Obituary for Maurice Vernon Woodworth
January 13, 1958 – July 3, 2020
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maurice ‘Moe’ Woodworth. Maurice passed away peacefully at Vancouver General Hospital, with his wife loving wife Lynn by his side.
Born in Hallifax on January 13, 1958, to Vernon and Minnie Woodworth of Kentville, who predeceased him, Maurice is survived by and will always be lovingly remembered by his wife and partner of 36-plus years Lynn Wier, his sister Daisy (Eustace) Haynes, children (from his prior marriage) Christopher (Caroline) Adshade and Candace Adshade, along with grandchildren Wesley (3 yo.) and Maude (1 yo.).
Maurice closed his eyes one more time on July 3, 2020, and maybe took one last photograph, as he departed the land that he loved. Maurice moved to Vancouver, BC in 1996 in a big yellow moving truck, sharing the cab with Lynn and their cats Meisha and Sasha. Together they made Vancouver their
home, where Maurice spent most of his life working in the film industry, doing set decorating and design for IATSE Local 891 for over 21 years, as well as riding his motorbike with his many friends. Riding his Kawasaki Vulcan has been his other greatest passion – a proud member of the Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers for the past 8 years. Maurice also became well-known for his stunning photography.
Maurice lived a full and exceptional life, loved, respected, and admired by all who knew him. A celebration of Maurice’s life will be held in Vancouver at a future date, when restrictions on large gatherings have been lifted.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Maurice Vernon Woodworth 2020..
