Peacefully, after a long illness and many challenges, Maurice went to be with the Lord on January 6th, 2020. Maurice was born in Bangalore, India in 1936 to William and Gladys Knight.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter Samantha (Pascal Valcin), son Nigel (Geraldine Knight) and the mother of his children, Charmaine (Henry Holt). He was a loving grandfather to Jialyn, Zoe and Brandon. He will be missed by his sisters, Thelma (the late George Austin) and June (Ralph Tranfield). He is pre-deceased by his sisters Merlyn Johnson and Sheila Ross. He was a fond brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many in Canada, England, The United States, Australia, and India.
He will be greatly missed for his sense of humor, love of fun and the people around him. Service in memory of Maurice will be held on Saturday the 11th of January at 11.30am at St Thomas Anglican Church, 1619 Stittsville Main Street, Stittsville.
The family would like to thank Dr. Katerina Spacek and the staff at Ruddy Shenkman Hospice for their wonderful care for Maurice.
