Obituary of Matthew Scott Mitchell
With broken hearts, the family of Matthew Scott Mitchell announce his unexpected passing which occurred on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on November 9, 1979 in St. Stephen, he was a cherished son of Scott and Valerie (Newman) Mitchell.
Matt was employed as a Processor with Irving Oil, a job he truly enjoyed and where many friendships were made. In past years, he enjoyed hunting and most recently took an interest in fishing. Matt always enjoyed a good book but most importantly, he tresured the times spent with those he loved and held the memories of his loved ones close to his heart. His devotion to his family and friends will never be forgotten.
In addition to his parents, Scott and Valerie, Matt will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his brother, Jonathon Mitchell (Holly); sister, Heather Mitchell (Ralf); adored nieces and nephew, Emma, Isabella and Vincent ; along with many special aunts, uncles and cousins.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, all services will be held privately. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.. Online condolences may be placed at www.BrenansFH.com.
