It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Pikaluk announces her passing in Candle Lake on June 5th, 2020 at the age of 88 years.
Mary was born in Foxford on August 17, 1931 to John and Sally Molitwenik. She grew up in Foxford with her two sisters, Rose and Helen. Attending school in Foxford was one of her favorite things, along with the outdoors. On June 19, 1949, Mary and Peter Pikaluk wed. Together, they farmed in the Paddockwood area for 25 years before moving to Prince Albert where she and Peter continued their farming near the Cecil Ferry until they decided to retire in 1994. Mary has always taken pride in her perogy making and was a regular at the church “Perogy Bees”. Mary loved music and you could catch her humming along to any Johnnie Reid song. Her family meant everything to her- she would do anything for someone she loved.
