Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit in the presence of her family on Thursday, May 21, 2020, Mary Theresa Walsh (nee Power), age 92. She was predeceased by her loving husband Albert; parents Elizabeth and Stephen; and her brothers Ronald and Anthony Power. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are her five children: Terry (Joan) of Ottawa, Keith, Al (Linda) of Ottawa, Kenneth (Colleen) and daughter Paula (Tom Armstrong); her loving grandchildren: Stephen Walsh, Ryan Armstrong, Alyssa Armstrong, Scott Walsh, Kristen Walsh and Colten Walsh; and special great-grandson Hunter. Also mourning her loss are her beloved cousins Sister Mary Tee and Bridie Best, as well as her lifelong friends Willie and Dave Anderson, Gerri Duggan and Diane Fleming. We extend a very sincere thank you to the doctors and nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit for their compassion and care of our mother. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held at Caul’s Chapel, LeMarchant Road on Monday, May 25th. Cremation has taken place and burial will be held at a later date when we are all able to join together to celebrate mom’s life. Donations in her memory can be made to The Gathering Place.
