Mary Rose’s Obituary
DOUCETTE, Mary Rose Theresa – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, Mary Rose, age 85, on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at home in Yarmouth. Born in Quinan on February 26, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Elise and Henry Muise. She was predeceased by our father, Roger (August 6, 2017). She was a homemaker her entire life and she enjoyed bingo, puzzles, quilting, knitting and coloring. Surviving are her children, Lawrence (Linda), Suzanne, Charlene (Roger), Sandra (Terry), Marilyn (Clayton), Elizabeth, Sylvia (Archie), 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are brothers, Nazaire and Roy. She was predeceased by brothers Lawrence, Gilman, Ponic, Norman; sisters, Betty Anne and Kathleen; a son, Anthony; sons-in-law, Flash and Chester. A visitation will take place at H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth on Sunday, August 30, from 2 to 4 p.m. with prayers at 3 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m., Monday, August 31 at St. Ambrose Co-Cathedral, Yarmouth, with burial to follow in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Father Albéni d’Entremont officiating. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, seating may be limited and social distancing guidelines must be followed. Also, please note that immediate family will be given priority for seating. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, the Kidney Foundation of Canada or to a charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to H.M.
