Mary Prince Evans 2020

Mary Carolina Rosina Evans
Sydney Mines
March 11, 2020 marks the passing of our mother, Mary Carolina Rosina Evans (Prince). She passed away peacefully in her sleep after living 99 healthy, happy years.
Born in Sydney Mines on September 27, 1920, Mom was the daughter of the late Joseph and Caroline Prince and sister to eight siblings – Annie, Agnes, Liza, Joe, Albert, Johnny, Bill and Louie. She married our father Gordon Evans and had three children, Gloria, Norma and Maureen. Our father and sister Maureen preceded her in death. She leaves behind seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Mom loved animals, especially her cat kitty, and her Sunday drives with Maureen and grandsons Jamie and Kenneth. A special thanks to her niece Bev Scullen for her support through the years, when we couldn’t be home to help. Mom was fortunate to have many wonderful homecare workers care for her in her home in Sydney Mines, and then nursing home staff when she moved to a nursing home in Bedford, Nova Scotia. She had a long, wonderful life and will be missed. We hope she’s with all of the people she loved who went before her. A private family service will be held at a later date. Words of comfort may be forwarded to her family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Mary Prince Evans 2020..
