1916-2020
Savidant – The death
occurred peacefully, with family by her side, at the
Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, on Tuesday, December 22,
2020, of Mary Mildred (Gallant) Savidant, in her
104th year. Born in St. Eleanors, she was the
daughter of the late William D. Gallant and Mary Rose Wedge/Aucoin.
Survived by her children Richard (Elaine), Allan (Betty Jean), Rodney
(Brenda), Cathy (John) Clow; grandchildren Brent (Tammy), Gayle,
Rosann (Paul), Marcia (Dan), Jeff (Karen), Cory, Andrea (Ian), Nyall
(Kristen), Michael, Greg (Sheryl) and Kevin; a number of
step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren;
her sister Irene Arsenault (Eddie deceased); and by her many nieces,
nephews and other close relatives. She was predeceased by her husband
Vincent Savidant; son Daniel; brother Willard Gallant; sister Alice
(Jack) Courtney; and by her father and mother-in-law Daniel Vincent
Savidant and Marie Anne Bernard. Resting at Moase Funeral Home,
Summerside. Due to COVID19 restrictions the funeral will be by
invitation only. The Funeral Mass will be streamed on St.
Paul’s Parish Facebook page, Monday at 10:30 a.m. A
celebration of life will take place at a later date. Interment in St.
Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside. In lieu of flowers, memorial
donations to the Wedgewood Manor Memorial Trust Fund, Canadian Cancer
Society or a charity of your choice would be
appreciated.
