It is with profound sadness that the family of Mary Margaret Rachel Davidson announce her passing on July 8, 2020 at the St. Martha’s Hospital in Antigonish, NS.
Born April 4, 1932 in River Bourgeois, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Ellen (Thibeau) MacPhee.
Rachel will be lovingly remembered by her children, Debbie Fougere, River Bourgeois, Verna (Robbie) Mann and Harold (Bonnie) Davidson, St. Peter’s. Step-daughter Beverly (Ted) Bullock, Bedford, Grandchildren Derek and Robbie Fougere, Jordie Mann, Myles Davidson, Great Grandchildren Liam and Simon Fougere, Henderson Mann, and Brother Peter MacPhee, Antigonish.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Estwood H. Davidson, Sister Claire MacPhee, Stepson Estwood Davidson Jr., Step-grandson Eston Davidson and Step-granddaughter Pamela Bullock-Murphy.
No visitation by request. A private committal service will be held Tuesday, July 14th at 11:00am at the Lakeview Cemetery in St. Peter’s, NS, with Rev. Evo DiPierro officiating.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. M. Jurga, Dr. A. Khalid, Dr. E. Cooper, the nursing staff of 3rd Floor Stroke Unit, and the 4th Floor Palliative Care at the St. Martha’s Hospital.
