Obituary of Mary Lou Louise Hallett
The passing of Mary Lou Louise Hallett of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Donald Hallett occurred on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Hospice House Fredericton. Born on October 21, 1931 in Fairfield, ME, she was the daughter of the late Russell H. and Ethel (Davidson) Hargrove. Mary Lou worked as a secretary for the School District, Devon Junior High. She was a member of the UCW, Y’s Menettes and the Friday Coffee Gals.
Mary Lou is survived by her daughter, Melanie McKinley (Kevin); sons, Wade Hallett (Georgina), Brent Hallett (Wanda), Mark Hallett (Sharon) and Todd Hallett (Lesley) all of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Carrie, Greg, Jordan, Joel, Colin, Keith, Brittanie, Courtney, Lindsey and Josh Hallett, Darcie and Lucas McKinley; several great grandchildren; sisters, Isabel Thompkins (Kent) and Hazel Campbell; brother, Andy Hargrove (Susan); several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary Lou was predeceased by her brother, Arnold Hargrove.
Due to the current health situation the Memorial Service by invitation only will take place at Nashwaaksis United Church on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 2 pm with Rev. Nathan Wright officiating. The public can view the memorial service on the church website nashwaaksisunited.ca following the funeral service. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, CNIB or the Alzheimer Society. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
