Mary Jane Skerry
May 30, 1932 – April 20, 2020

SKERRY, Mary Jane
Of Dartmouth. It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, Mary, age 87, at The Admiral Long Term Care Facility on April 20, 2020. She was a loving, caring and nurturing mother, grandmother and another mother to many of our friends. Our mother was a woman of great faith, a past choir member at St. Peter’s, and a past Eucharistic Minister at St. Clements. We are comforted knowing she is now an angel in heaven in the arms of Our Lord.
Our Mum was predeceased by her parents, John and Ivy McManaman, her beloved husband William, and cherished son Jimmy, and daughter-in-law Margery. She is survived by her children John, Martha (Miles Garrison), Billy, Lyn (Graham Slaunwhite), Tommy (Janice Aucoin), Danny, Maureen (Chris Camp), and Wayne Bacchus, 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend thanks to the caregivers and staff at the Admiral Long Term Care Facility for their love and care during these difficult times. They went out of their way for their “Sweet Mary”.
The remains have been entrusted to the Dartmouth Funeral Home where cremation will take place. Due to these unprecedented times a service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Mary Jane Skerry May 30 1932 April 20 2020..
