1928-2020
It is with great sadness that the
family of the late MARY J. LAVHEY of
Terrenceville announces her passing. Mary passed away at her
daughter’s home in St. John’s, on Monday, July
13th, 2020 at the age of 91.
Mary was predeceased by her husband,
James Lavhey; parents, Patrick & Bridget McCarthy; and
sisters, Florence Mitchell, Frances Hickey, Elizabeth Myles, and Sarah
Pardy.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of
wonderful memories are her daughter, Mary Hynes (Frank) of St.
John’s; sons, James Lavhey (Deborah) of Medicine Hat, AB,
and William Lavhey (Debbie) of Terrenceville; 6 grandchildren, Heather
(Inna), Billy, Frank, Patrick (Renee), Matthew (Kate) and Connie
(Adam); 6 great-grandchildren, Bella, Dayton, Winter, Kai, Aria and
Randy; brother, Maurice McCarthy; plus a large circle of family and
friends.
The Family will accept
visitors at Peninsula Funeral Home in Creston South. In
order to maintain social distancing and to follow the public health
advisory of COVID 19, a walk through visitation will take place on
Wednesday, July 15th, 2020 from 10am
– 4pm. A maximum of 20 people at any one time
permitted. A private funeral service will be held
at Peninsula Funeral Home, Creston South on Thursday, July
16th, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. Interment
will follow at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Cemetery in
Terrenceville.
In Mary’s memory
donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church
or Cemetery Fund, Terrenceville.
