Mary Ellen’s Obituary
DUNNE, Mary Ellen – age 61, passed away on Thursday, November 5th, 2020. Mary Ellen was born in Hubbards, Halifax County and was a daughter to the late Malcom and Sarah Elizabeth (Allen) Miller. She was loved dearly by her husband, Chris Dunne, of 18 years. Mary Ellen enjoyed making puzzles, reading, cross stitching, music and singing at home. She cared very much for the welfare of animals and has taken in many stray cats over the years. Mary Ellen is survived by her children, Chris Rogers and SJ Rogers, as well as her brothers James Miller, Keith (Laurie) Miller and John (Jocelyne) Miller. Visitation will take place at 1 p.m., Monday November 9th, at H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth following with a celebration of life at 2 p.m, at Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Yarmouth, with Pastor Keith Moore officiating. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, seating may be limited at the funeral home (immediate family will be given priority for seating), social distancing guidelines must be followed and masks are mandatory. Interment will follow in Arcadia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Yarmouth Food Bank, Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia or the SPCA.
