1933-2020
The death occurred peacefully at the palliiative care unit of
Western Hospital, Alberton, with her loving family by her side, on
Saturday, August 22, 2020, of Mary Elizabeth Vincent, beloved wife of
the late Keir Vincent, who predeceased her in 2016, formerly of
Montrose, age 87 years. Born Tignish Shore, on August 20, 1933, she
was the daughter of the late Dominic and Madeline (nee Perry)
DesRoches.
Dear mother of Carol Ann (David) Gallant of Tignish, Angela
MacCormac (Danny) of Charlottetown, Joseph (Linda) of Montrose, John
(Marie) of Montrose, Wayne (Sandra) of Skinners Pond, Leslie (Crystal)
of O’Leary, Rick (Cathy) of Woodvale, Kevin (Heather) of Montrose,
Dean (Mary) of Woodvale, Alan (Yvonne) of Coldstream, BC, Kim (Dave)
Gaudet-Morris of Palmer Road. Dear sister of Sylvania Melanson of
Shediac.
She will be sadly missed by her 33 grandchildren, 61
great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She is also
survived by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by siblings, Alex, Everett, George,
Joseph, Willie, Cedric,John James, Edgar, Freda Gaudet and Edna
Gaudet. She was also predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Amanda Vincent
and by a son-in-law, Owen MacCormac.
Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton, for
visiting hours Wednesday from noon until time of funeral. Funeral
Wednesday afternoon from the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton, for
funeral mass at 3:00 p.m. for immediate family and invited guests
only. Interment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy memorials to the Sacred Heart
Cemetery or the Children’s Wish Foundation will be greatly
appreciated.
