Maureen Brown – May 25, 1930 to December 29, 2019
In loving memory of Maureen Brown (nee Lowney), 89 years, who passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Health Sciences North. Predeceased by her parents (Patrick and Elizabeth Lowney) and her husband William (Bill) of 67 years. Loving mother of Michael (Robin Goard), Cathy Bellingham (David), Jim (Paula Zanella), Nancy Whissell (Mark), and Patrick (Annette Miller ). Sister to Patrick Lowney (Helen Prociuk predeceased). Predeceased by brothers Joseph, Donald (Jacqueline) and Jack Lowney. Deeply missed by grandchildren and great grandchildren who all had a special place in her heart.
Maureen’s was a life filled with family and friends and her home was a focal point for many, young and old, over the years. She had a passion for curling, playing bridge and golf and was most disappointed when she finally had to put the golf clubs away.
Respecting Maureen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church in Copper Cliff on Saturday, January 18th at 10:00. Friends may gather in the basement of the church to greet the family immediately following the mass. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maison McCullough Hospice or charity of choice would be appreciated.
