Obituary for Martin Walker
March 1, 1960 – July 5, 2020
Our family is saddened by the passing of their husband, son, brother and friend, Martin Walker.
He was born in the High Prairie hospital on March 1, 1960. Raised in High Prairie, he attended the local school until Grade 11. He moved to Grande Prairie at the age of 23. There he met and married Debbie Tetreau on June 16, 1984 on Lakeshore Farms, Dimsdale. They lived in Grande Prairie until 2000 when they purchased the acreage on Saskatoon Mountain. Here Martin lived his best life, free, outside and raising and training Weimaraner dogs. On the acreage, Martin and Debbie poured love into Theron, their son. Martin succumbed to cancer on July 5, 2020 in the Beaverlodge Hospital.
We are burying his body at Scenic Heights Cemetery in the Tetreau family plot.
Martin is survived by his wife Debbie, son Theron and siblings Josephine, James (Ruby), Tom (June), Ralph (June), Ben, Laverne (Jules), Chuck (Barb), Fred (Wanda), Sam (Janice), Howard (Susan), Barb (Dennis), and Mitch (Louise).
He was pre-deceased by his children Farron and Nathan, his father Pete and mother Vera.
