It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Shirley May Martin. She passed away suddenly on Tuesday November 24 2020 in the early morning. She was born on November 20 1946 in Maple Creek Saskatchewan. She had just turned 74 years old. She was predeceased by her parents Archibald McAulay, Ida Fielding (step father Silas Fielding) her first husband Rudy Schoen, her sister Caroline Martin and her son Vinzent Schoen.
She is survived by: her 2 sisters Marjorie Graham, Merleen Rafters and her brother Archie McAulay, her 3 sons and their significant others Carl Schoen( Rosemary), Kevin Schoen (Dana) , Tim Schoen and her daughter and son in-law Tammy (Kirk) Swanson
Also, her 6 grandchildren Cameron, Bella, Bailey, Parker, Gregory and Waren
Along with her niece Carol Christie(Don) and her nephews Bob Hodgins, Archie Hodgins ( Barb) ,Lionel Williams ( Chrissy) , Jody Williams, Sid McAulay, David McAulay (Roxanne) Chris McAulay, Lee Hodgins, and Arthur Hodgins (Karla) . She also leaves behind many great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, multiple cousins/ second cousins and dear friends.
She was a loving person and was blessed and very grateful for all of the people in her life.
She was loved and will always be remembered by her family and friends.
Unfortunately we are unable to have a service for her at this time due to the covid-19 restrictions. We will announce a date for a service when it is safe to do so. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 5241 Calgary Trail NW #144, Edmonton, AB T6H 5G8
