Obituary of Marjorie Gertrude Frison
Marjorie passed away peacefully on June 20, 2020. Her life’s emphasis was her dearest husband Leo, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Denise McKechnie (Murray), Nicole Hendrickson (Glen) {Vivian, Rosalyn}, Rejeanne McKechnie, Justine Cherpin (Kelly) {Warren, Claire, Summer}, Yvette Frison, Rachelle Frison-McIntyre (Alan McIntyre), Andrew (Jessica) {Maeve}, Allana Robson (David) {Georgia, Evelyn} and Gerard Frison (Sandy), Matthew (Mary) and Lucas (Carrie) {Zane}.
Marjorie and Leo married December 28, 1946. They moved from Saskatoon to Langenburg in 1949 and then relocated to Regina in 1956, where they established their lives in church and community. Throughout the years, mom was what a mother was supposed to be to us.
Our mother is best described as a loving, practical, generous, hardworking homemaker and teacher, avid gardener, seamstress, crafter, bridge player, cottager and traveler. Her faith in God always governed her thoughts and actions.
Mom was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, her parents Edward and Lucy Stauch and brothers Rene and Denis. She is survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother Jerome (Irene); sister Helen Tarnecki (Jim); sisters-in-law Kathleen and Theresa, numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. Marjorie was the last of her generation on the Frison side of the family. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by all those whose lives she touched.
Due to Covid-19, a small, closed private family funeral service at Holy Cross Church and interment will take place on July 2, 2020. A family celebration of Marjorie’s life will be planned in the future when safe to do so and travel is possible.
