Obituary of Marion Grace Keyes
Marion Keyes
Marion Grace Keyes (McGuire) peacefully passed away at Carveth Care Centre on Tuesday October 13, 2020 at the age of 96.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years Ken, her daughters Christy Keyes and Patty Wright-Baillie and her son-in-law Jeffrey Wright.
Marion, the mother of eight is lovingly remembered by Michael Keyes(Beverly) Gananoque, Joe Keyes (Mary Lynn) Waterloo, Terry Keyes(Elaine) Halifax, Nancy Gollogly (Wayne) Kingston, Kevin Keyes(Sherry) Gananoque, Bruce Keyes (Dede) Aurora. She was blessed to be Nanny Keyes to 19 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Marion was a true Irish matriarch who enjoyed many activities throughout her long life: social activities with Ken, playing bridge, summers on Honey Bee Island, living on the St. Lawrence River, leading the sing songs at family gatherings, wintering in Naples Florida, playing golf and inspiring many with her passion and love of family.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Carveth Care Centre for their excellent care, compassion and supportive environment. A special thank you to Phyllis Lorbetskie, Lodge Manager, for her guidance throughout our mother’s years at Carveth. A private family mass with the rite of Christian burial will take place at St John the Evangelist Church. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to U.H.K.F. Cancer Center of Southeastern Ontario would be greatly appreciated by the family.
