With their young family they moved to Yellowknife, NWT to begin a new life. Marion worked for the NWT legislative assembly and became heavily involved in the United Church of Canada and was the NWT Commissioner for the Girl Guides of Canada. With her husband they worked toward the establishment of Northern United Place providing apartments for seniors and disadvantaged people. As part of her church activities she helped refugees settle into life in the North. After retiring to White Rock, B.C. mom spent her time volunteering with the United Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren which took her to Calgary, Taiwan, Beirut, Winnipeg and Dartmouth. She looked forward to her annual Yellowknife reunion in Kelowna.
