Obituary of Marion Belyea Morrison
The death of Marion Morrison, age 93, occurred on Monday, February 3, 2020 at Shannex Embassy Hall, Quispamsis. Born in Lower Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Leigh and Gertrude (Davis) Slipp and wife of the late Winston Morrison.
Marion was a graduate of Normal School and taught in a one room schoolhouse in Cambridge-Narrows until her marriage. She was a member of Central United Baptist Church and always took great comfort in her faith.
Marion is survived by her children, Marianne Tschmier (Reinhold) of Winnipeg, MB, Philip Morrison (Nancy) of Hampton, Joyce Melvin (Brian) of Nauwigewauk, D. Neil Morrison (Patti) of Quispamsis and Stephen Morrison (Carrie) of Dartmouth, NS; grandchildren, Kristine (Laurier), Michael (Tricia), Colleen (Alex), Ian (Ashley), Sean and Meredith; five great-grandchildren; siblings, George Slipp (Thelma) of Codys and Doris Sanborn (the late Richard) of Banger, ME; sister-in-law, Frances Slipp of Robinson Point; along with nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by siblings, Charles Slipp, Leigha Pepe (Vincent), Ida Bovatt (Rudy), Edna Bridges (Harry) and Fred Slipp
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 12:00 PM. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Parkinson Canada, Diabetes Canada or to a charity of one’s choice.
