Marion Blanche (MacDougall) Shaw
1919-2020
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving
family, on July 1, 2020 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown
of Marion Blanche (MacDougall) Shaw in her 101st year, of Burnside
Community Care, Clyde River, PEI and formerly of O’Leary.
Marion was born in Springfield West on December 21, 1919, and was the
last surviving member of the family of the late Jabez and Margaret
(Ramsay) MacDougall of Springfield West, PEI.
Marion is survived by her four children and spouses: Richard
MacDougall, Eric (Gail) Shaw, Judy Oraniuk, and Ralph (Sang)
Shaw.
Loving Grandmother to Stephen (Cathy), Dana (Sandra), Byron
(Donna), Kendall (Kate), Alison (Peter), Gregory, Michael, Shelley,
Tara and Sara.
Marion is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, two
great-great granddaughters and numerous nephews and
nieces.
Marion was predeceased by her parents Jabez and Margaret
(Ramsay) MacDougall, first husband Reginald Shaw (1964) and second
husband Lester Gay (1980), half-siblings Elmer, Lloyd and Olive
MacDougall, and siblings Raymond, Ethel, Lorne MacDougall as young
children and Albert (Irene) MacDougall, Evelyn (Kenneth) Towle and
Gladys (Charles) MacWilliams, granddaughter Heather Dawn (Shaw)
MacNeill and son-in-law Steve Oraniuk.
Resting
at Ferguson Funeral Home & Chapel with private family
arrangements due to Covid 19 restrictions. Interment in Springfield
West Baptist Cemetery.
In memory of Marion, memorials to Springfield West Baptist
Cemetery Fund or Bethel United Cemetery Fund would be
appreciated.
