Obituary
In loving memory of Mario Zerbini, 76 who suddenly passed away at Mackenzie Health Hospital on December 18 2020 after a month of battling COVID-19.
A beloved Husband to Mirella for 52 years. A loving father to Mark (Krissy) and Nadia. A devoted Grandfather to Massimo and Allissia, and Great Grandfather to A’zion.
Born on July 29th, 1944, in Bagni Di Luca, Italy, Mario and his parents, Giovanni and Anita came to Canada in 1948, when he was just 4 years old. He grew up in Parkdale, Toronto. They had then bought a home in North York (Jane and Falstaff) when he was 17 years old. When he was 23 years old he met his wife for 52 years Mirella. Within 6 months they were married and they started their chapter. They were inseparable. Mario and Mirella did absolutely everything together for their entire 52 years of marriage. They had their first child (Mark) at age 25 and then their second (Nadia) at age 33. In 1997 his first grandson was born (Massimo) followed by his granddaughter (Allissia) in 2001. On April 8th 2020 his great grandchild was born (A’zion). He was so proud to be a great grandfather at such a young age.
For those who new Mario, new he was such a genuine, fun loving man. If anyone, family or friends needed anything, Mario was always there for them in whichever way he could help, he made sure he made it happen. Almost everyone that had met Mario and came to his home ate at his dinner table.
Mario had lived his life the way he wanted, did what he wanted, when he wanted to, and always seemed to want to blame everything on the weather.
Mario will be missed dearly by many people and his dog champ. A celebration of life will take place possibly at some time in 2021, when COVID-19 restrictions allow.
