THIBODEAU, Marilyn Irene – Age 80 of La Villa Acadienne, Meteghan, formerly of Meteghan Station, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital with family by her side. Born in White Head (Grand Manan) N.B., she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Irene (Banks) Brooks. She was a talented card player and loved to play CIFA bingo every Friday. Marilyn loved to read and to laugh. Her favorite things to say were “see you in the funny papers” and “you’re nutty as a fruit cake”. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Laurent Thibodeau; sons, Donald Thibodeau (Kathleen), Meteghan Station, Brian “Philip” Thibodeau (Maxine), Saulnierville; daughter, Cathy Thibodeau (Maurice), Meteghan Station; grandchildren, Amy Hicks, Steward Deveau; great grandchildren, Drake, Brody; many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Sherwyn Banks, Richard Brooks; grandson, Jeffrey Thibodeau. Cremation has taken place under the care of Meteghan Funeral Home. Funeral will be held Saturday, February 22 at 11 a.m. in Église Sacré-Coeur, Saulnierville. Burial to follow in parish cemetery. Donations may be made to the Yarmouth Regional Hospital Dialysis Unit. We love you Marilyn, Rest in Peace.
