1934-2020
Marilyn Louise Dunfield, 85 of Corn Hill passed
away at the Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sus on Thursday, January 30,
2020.
Born in Petitcodiac, she was the daughter of the
late Frank and Katherine (Berry) Lewis. Marilyn was a member
of the Corn Hill United Baptist Church, a life member of both the WMS
and the Corn Hill Women’s Institute. She enjoyed embroidery,
rug hooking, helping on the family farm and especially
family gatherings.
She is survived and missed by her husband of 65
years Reece; children Elizabeth Mills (Allen), Arland (Cathy) and
Kevin (Donna) all of Corn Hill; grandchildren David Mills (Erica),
Susan McCully (Jeremy), Sarah Carson (Tim), Brent Dunfield (Lisa),
Brian Dunfield (Zoe), Karla Keith (Corey) and Kelly Dunfield (Dan);
great grandchildren Avelyn Mills, Heather, Meaghan and Gregory
McCully, Emmalin, Hudson and Lauren Carson, Alicen and Carter Keith
and Abigail Bustin; brother Ronald Lewis (Dorothy) of Sus and
several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Margaret Campbell,
Mildred Lewis, Dorothy Smith, Freda Lavoie and Pauline Bland and
brother Paul Lewis.
Visitation will be at the Corn Hill United Baptist
Church on Saturday, February 1 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm and from
where a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 2 at 3 pm
with Pastor Lee Mitton and Pastor Scott Ryder
officiating.
Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral
Home (372-4800).
At Marilyn’s request her remains were forwarded to
Dalhousie Medical Research.
If desired donations to the Corn Hill United
Baptist Church or Alzheimers Society would be appreciated by the
family.
