Obituary of Marie Page
Marie A Page, 85, of Spryfield, passed away peacefully on August 29th, 2020.
Marie was born on March 10th, 1935 to Marjorie (Corkum) and Philip Harvey in Scotch Village, Nova Scotia. In 1957 she married husband Daniel “Brenton” Page and later welcomed daughter Debbie. She was employed as a telephone operator at Maritime Tel & Tel for eighteen years.
She was a member for many years of the Emmanuel Anglican Church and was part of the ACW group. Summers were enjoyed at the family cottage on Piggott Lake, playing cards, hosting late lunch, and riding in the peddle boat. She enjoyed traveling in her earlier years, finishing her daily paper and crossword puzzles, and listening to the Grand Ole Opry. She loved special occasions with family, celebrating each birthday and holiday. Marie loved to spoil her grandchildren and special cat “Tub”.
Marie was predeceased by parents Marjorie and Philip Harvey and brother Philip (Katherine) Harvey. She will be missed by husband Daniel Brenton Page, brother Robert (Ruth) Harvey, daughter Debbie (Reggie) Hillier, granddaughters Sarah (Darren Ide) Hillier and Crystal (Jeff) Boutilier, great-granddaughter Emily and many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to the staff at the QE II Health Sciences Center. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marie’s memory can be made to the Emmanuel Anglican Church (Spryfield) or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
