Marie Olive Knowles, age 97, of Stratford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her residence on Sunday, June 7, 2020. Born in Stratford, daughter of the late Frank and Adeline (Steppler) Tuer. Predeceased by her loving husband Rae Knowles (Dec 3, 2007). Proud and loving mother of Brian (Bev) Knowles, Ann Knowles and Karen Taylor. Loving grandmother of Jodilynn (Tim) Taylor, Lisa (Chris) Taylor, Mark Taylor and Sarah (Simon) Newton. Great-grandmother of Brittany (Matt) Paton, Wyatt, Nicholas, Samantha, Brandon and Liam. Marie is survived by her sister-in-law Wanda Tuer and her many nieces and nephews. Mom enjoyed her country home; she was famous for her tarts, pies and pastry making skills which she volunteered to the UCW. The family would like to sincerely thank One-Care PSW’s, and the VON Nurses. Besides her husband, Marie was predeceased by her daughter-in-law Sharon Knowles, her son-in-law Mike Taylor and her brothers Ray Tuer, Lloyd (Hazel) Tuer, Don (Grace) Tuer and her mother and father-in-law Ernest and Helene Knowles. Marie will be laid to rest with her true love Rae in Avondale Cemetery (Stratford) with a private family service.
