Passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the Erie Shores Hospice with her loving family at her side . Beloved wife of Manuel Branco of 57 years. Cherished mother of Danny Branco and Pauline (James) Cornies. Devoted grandmother of Danny Branco Jr. (Sarah), Jeffery Branco, Elton Branco(Ashley), Vanessa Tavares, Mack Tavares (Sehrize) and great-grandmother of six. Maria was a wonderful seamstress and was a great cook and baker. Her family will forever remember her courage and strength after being a two time breast cancer survivor as well as battling dementia. We will all surely miss her. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 20 from 5-8pm at Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell St, Leamington. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Church, 29 Elliott St, Leamington on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 10:30 am, please arrive at 10:15am. Due to COVID restrictions the Mass is limited to a specific number of people at a time. Only those with an appointment will be allowed in. Please book an appointment online at www.reidfuneralhome.ca to secure attendance at the Mass and to pay your respects to the family. EVERYONE must wear a mask and social distance from the family and those around them. Interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, Leamington. The family wishes to thank the staff at Kingsville Chartwell Retirement Home and Erie Shores Hospice for their great care that she received. Memorial donations to honour Maria’s life can be made to Erie Shores Hospice and would be appreciated by the family.
