Maria GLADYS Campbell 2020

September 30, 1931 – January 08, 2020
Gladys Campbell, beloved wife of C. Keith Campbell, passed away at the age of 88 years.
Gladys was the loving mother of Donald Campbell (deceased), Colleen Stefaniuk (Arnold) and Robert Campbell (Jeanet). She will also be dearly missed by her five grandchildren Jocelyn Fleury (Patrick), Kevin Campbell, Lauren Stefaniuk, Caitlin Campbell and Andrew Campbell and one great-grandchild, Keith Fleury.
Gladys graduated from the City Hospital School of Nursing in 1953, providing her patients with warm, gentle care until deciding to focus on her family and home.
Gladys had a love for many things. She was a voracious consumer of the written word, loved singing and dancing, and excelled at cards, achieving her Duplicate Bridge Life Masters in 1978. She was an instrumental part in developing the Saskatoon Bridge Club – directing games, teaching classes and competing for match points in tournaments around Canada. She was an extraordinary and accomplished chef. Friends and family fell under her spell when she worked her culinary magic at the amazing parties and dinners she and Keith frequently hosted. She revelled in joy and laughter.
Her greatest joys in life were first, her husband and soulmate Keith. They embarked on many adventures together. For 65 years they never left each other’s side. And second her family. She loved them with all she possessed, celebrated their triumphs, counselled them through their trials and made them laugh through their tears. In life and always, she is our mentor, role model and the glue that held us together. She selflessly taught us what true bravery and courage looked like through her indomitable spirit and perseverance in the face of seemingly insurmountable adversity. She was a fierce warrior queen and will forever inspire us all to live up to the example she set.
A private graveside ceremony will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
