MargueriteJeannette McDonald was born in Hillsdale, Inverness co. NS she was the daughter of late John Hughie and Mary Ann (Gillis) MacEachern.
Marguerite is survived by five of her seven children. Her daughters; Ann Christine (Cornelius) Oakley, L’Ardoise and Michelle (Gordon) MacKay, Big Harbour Island. Sons Bernie MacDonald, Big Harbour Island, David (Jodi) MacDonald, British Columbia, & Norman MacDonald, Port Hawkesbury. Sister; Christina (Alex) Chisholm, Hamilton Ont. Brother; Ronald (Danita) MacEachern, Stoney Creek Ont. 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Marguerite was predeceased by her first husband Lawrence MacDonald of Little Judique, father of her 7 children. Her two sons John Donald and Jerome Alexander(infant). Her second husband George A MacDonald of Reserve Mines, Glace Bay. Siblings; Malcolm MacEachern, Judique and Hughie John MacEachern of Tracadie.
There no visitation by request. The family will receive friends and family from 9:30 to time of Mass of Christian Burial which will be offered Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St Andrew Roman Catholic Church, Judique with Father Allen MacMillan. Burial at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Leeside Transition House, Port Hawkesbury or Dementia and Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. Funeral Arrangements are under the Care and Direction of Green’s Funeral Home, 507 Bernard St. Port Hawkesbury. Expressions of sympathy may be made at: www.greensfuneralhome.ca
