Margot’s Obituary
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at her residence in Markdale.
Margot Joanne Stevens (nee Mayo) was born in London, Ontario on November 20, 1940. Beloved wife of Christopher Landry. Loving mother of Craig Stevens and his wife Erin of Edmonton. Dear stepmother of Tara Landry and her husband Philippe Thibault of Montreal. Cherished grandmother of Keenan, Nolan & Sean Stevens and Emilie & Maxime Thibault. Margot will be remembered by her brother John Mayo (Michelle). Predeceased by parents William & Elsie (Watson) Mayo, and brother William J. Mayo.
During Margot’s career she worked with Time Canada as a Production and Distribution Manager. Upon retirement in the Markdale area, Margot became involved in the community; she was instrumental in the start up of The Red Hat’s in Markdale, a member of the Annesley United Church morning prayer group, and active in Amateur Theatre. Margot loved her grandchildren and family and pets; her husband Christopher could always make her laugh.
The family would like to thank VON nurses Monica and Laura, and to Dr. Harvey Winfiled for the care and loving attention that was given to Margot during her long fight.
A private memorial service will be held at the May Funeral Home, Markdale on Friday, July 10, 2020.
