Margarete Luise Pliwischkies
April 28, 1922 – November 23, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margarete Luise
(Eschle) Pliwischkies. April 28. 1922 – November 23. 2020. She has gone to
be with the Lord.
She had a wonderful spirit . Always cheerful and happy. Her positive
outlook on life was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Greatly missed by daughters Christa Taraniuk (Emilio Andreola) of Sault Ste.
Marie, Monika Roess (Peter predeceased) of Oakville, Herb Jr. and Katherine
of Picton. Predeceased by her loving husband Herb Pliwischkies 2010 and
daughter Carol Wierzbicki 2011.
Oma will be deeply missed by her 8 grandchildren Terry Taraniuk, Donnie
Wierzbicki (Patti), Tania Caputo (Eugene), Monika Kristina (Andre Trahan),
Kristen Rutgers (Joshua), Lauren Durivage (Mathieu), Kara Pliwischkies,
Peter Roess Jr. (Jennifer) and her many Great grandchildren and Great great
grandchildren.
Her Husband Herbert came to Canada in 1951 and Margarete followed in 1952
with her 3 little girls in hand. Picton became the homestead in 1965 where
Herb Sr. was a well respected teacher and Margarete assisted as an audio
visual technician at PECI.
Upon retirement the next adventure began in Nokomis, Florida where they
wintered for 17 years at their beloved Kingsgate Park. This was followed by
extensive travels in their golden years.
Margarete often referred to as Marita was a fixture at many family
gatherings and social events. She loved a good glass of wine.
Mom was an avid hockey fan who unfortunately cheered for the Leafs.
The family will be having a celebration of life in May, circumstances
permitting.
The family would appreciate memorial donations to Hospice Prince Edward or the PECMH Foundation “Back The Build”
What a wonderful life she had. She will be sorely missed .❤️
