Margaret Marie McLeod, age 84, of Stratford and formerly of Lakeside, passed away peacefully at the St. Marys Memorial Hospital with family by her side on May 25, 2020. Born in Lakeside, July 25, 1935, daughter of the late Roy and Anna (McKay) Sutherland.
Margaret worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Marys Memorial Hospital for over 35 years. Beloved wife for 62 years of Frank McLeod. Loving mother of Kim Taylor (Ray), William Frank McLeod (deceased) and Rick McLeod (Connie). Grandmother of Chris Taylor, Adam Taylor (Steph), Amber McLeod, Lauren Moulton and Shayne Moulton. Also survived by sisters-in-law Ruth Garwell (Jack) and Lorraine Bareauth (Hank).
A celebration of Margaret’s Life will be held on Sunday, October 18, from 1-4 p.m. at the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans Hall, 151 Lorne Avenue East, Stratford. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Perth County, Breast Cancer Society of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation through the W.G.
